Why choose an agency?
If you would like to have more control over your support, but do not want to be an employer then using an agency to get your support needs met might be the right option for you.
You can still get a Direct Payment from the council and with that money you can choose an agency that you like and can set up a contract with them. If you set up an arrangement with the agency yourself it means that they are accountable to you. They report to you and you can ask them to make changes to the care that you receive.
