Self Directed Support Drop In

Having problems with your Personal Budget?
Feel like you could do with some support?

London Advocacy for Independence has been working in 32 London Boroughs since 2008 enabling disabled people and their carers to have better information about, and support to take up Direct Payments and Personal Budgets.

We are working with RUILS and will be running a regular drop-in session for people who want more information or support to take forward issues around Self Directed Support. We hope we will be able to support people to self advocate, support others who come along and advocate on people’s behalf if needed. If you don’t want to come along yourself you can give someone, such as your support broker, consent to raise issues on your behalf.

The sessions will be held on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 3-5pm:
15th September; 20th October and 17th November.
The meeting will be facilitated by Denise Hill of Voiceability (a leading advocacy group) and will be at:
DAAC - Disability Action & Advice Centre
4 Waldegrave Road, Teddington, TW11 8HT
