A micro enterprise is small, simple and fast to start up and can be run by anyone...

Are you an individual interested in using your skills to make money and help your community? Will your idea help people in your community to try a new activity e.g. cooking, knitting; to help people to unlock their potential and try something new? Then this workshop is for you!

The workshop will cover :
An overview of what micro enterprise is (a micro enterprise is small, simple and fast to start up and can be run by anyone)
- What the difference is between a micro enterprise and other types of businesses
- The benefits of starting a micro enterprise
- Planning your ideas
- First steps
- Where you can get ongoing support

Ideas for a Micro Enterprise may include :
Providing services such as teaching cooking from your home, running activities or providing care and support to individuals to enable them to live independently at home, live a full life and/or to get around their community.

Refreshments will be provided.
Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance and will have access to an on-going support network.

The workshop will take place on Thursday 29th June from 11am-2pm.

Come & join the GoLocal Community Choir Every Tuesday from 11.00am - 12.00am. Have fun and learn valuable techniques which can be applied to your everyday life, including:

• Discover your hidden singing voice through singing along with others


• Relaxation techniques to relieve stress, depression and pain

• Breathing and Sounding exercises to ensure good overall health

• Drum circles and drama/movement classes

• Performing at OKMT local concerts.

The workshop will be under the guidance of Music and Voice Therapist, Dr. Margaret Lobo, Founder/Director of the Otakar Kraus Music Trust, Twickenham and visiting tutors.

Activity Details

Do you enjoy writing? Do you want to learn some new techniques on how to write and how to express yourself through your writing? Do you want to share your writing with others? If so come along to our creative writing group. We meet every second and last Tuesday of the month from 2pm to 4pm. The sessions are an opportunity to socialise, whilst discussing topics related to creative writing. All abilities welcome. No need to book just come along.

Activity Details

Do you want to get creative? Maybe learn some new art techniques or make something special you can take home and keep? Then come along to our weekly arts and craft sessions every Tuesday from 10.30am to 12.30pm. You will be able to choose from a range of activities and create various arts and crafts pieces. The sessions will be run by local art teacher Sylvie Freullet, who has years of experience teaching people of all ages and those with special educational needs and disabilities.

Activity Details

Ruils supports Together As One, a Twickenham based organisation providing support for anyone experiencing loneliness or social isolation, particularly as a result of mental health issues. Drop in on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 11am and 4.30pm to check it out. Wednesday sessions are organised by Ruils where we put on different activities each week. Come and have lunch with us for a small charge, play some games and meet new people.

Activity Details

Come along to our NEW Crafty Café in partnership with Castelnau Community Centre (CCC) and ARTBOXuk! The café will be facilitated by Shannon and Anna from the centre and experienced art tutor, Sylvie, from ARTBOXuk.

The sessions will involve a range of therapeutic arts and crafts, such as painting, drawing, sewing and clay modelling.

You do not need to be crafty to attend, all abilities are welcome and you can even just pop in for a cup of tea and a chat. The centre has a lovely cafe serving a range of teas, coffees and homemade cakes!

The Crafty Cafe runs every Monday from 10:30am-12:30pm (excluding bank holidays).
