paFinder Service

What we do

The paFinder service helps individuals who are looking to employ a Personal Assistant to find someone for them to employ. The service gives advice on employing staff for the first time, managing staff and the training available for Personal Assistants.

PAs attend an induction and interview where their ID is verified. They are then placed on the paFinder register. There is also a new online paFinder service which allows individuals to search for their own PAs from the website www.find-a-pa.co.uk. PAs can also look for suitable vacancies.

Don't forget to look at our Recruitment Section which will give you all the information and links you should need.

An example of what we do

Mrs Jones’s PA has worked for her for several years. She provides personal care, help with dressing, preparing meals and medication prompts. She also helps Mrs Jones to maintain her garden which provides many hours of pleasure.

As they have got to know each other, Mrs Jones’s PA has been able to anticipate her needs and even save her life on two occasions when Mrs Jones, who has diabetes, was at risk of going into a hypoglycaemic coma.

Mrs Jones says that her PA has enabled her to enjoy life and live as independently as possible.

When we are available

The paFinder service is run by Karen Block, Sarah Woodford and Charley Youngson. The service is available Monday to Friday 9:30 to 5.
