The Family Matters service will be running a Zoom workshop on managing fussy dressing, The workshop will take place on Thursday 29th April at 10.30am and will be delivered by Karen Garner, Director of The Sensory Smart Child Ltd, a private Paediatric Occupational Therapy practice based in Surrey.
If you have a child with sensory processing disorder or a sensory sensitivity to certain textures, getting dressed can be a battle. In this workshop Karen will discuss the different types of sensory issues and how these can affect your child as well as presenting some of the strategies you can use to address these challenges.
Karen has extensive experience in the field and in promoting independence and developing self-confidence through strengthening skills and helping children learn to control and understand their bodies and their senses.
