Ruils celebrates another great year at AGM

And just like that another year has come and gone! We celebrated another year at our virtual AGM with over 50 staff, trustees, members & special guests on Monday November 29th.

Cllr Alan Juriansz spoke to the members about his role as the Tenants Champion in Richmond. The role of the Tenant’s champion is to bridge the gap between the council and the housing associations. Anti-social behaviour (noise being the most common), outstanding repairs and overcrowding are the 3 most common issues he supports clients with.

We heard from our Chair, Gareth Bubbins, about the accomplishments of the team in 2020/21 and the reach our services have had across Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow. Even though the impact of COVID-19 posed significant challenges, Ruils has had a very successful year having grown significantly in revenue, staff and range of services delivered. Click here to download the 2020/21 Impact Report

We also heard from our new Treasurer, Bridget Molloy, who was welcomed officially as a new Trustee. Two existing Trustees, David Prasher and Bryony Meteyard, were re-elected for another 3 year term by members.

Hallie Banish, our FriendBee Coordinator, presented the Outstanding Befriender Awards to two amazing Befrienders, Leo Reddy and Morgan Hall for their dedication to their young clients.

A special thank you to Cathy Maker, our CEO for leading the meeting, and to all who attended and contributed. We are so grateful to be a part of such an amazing community and can't wait to see what this next year brings!
