Bridging the Gap this Mental Health Awareness Week

This week marks Mental Health Awareness Week. The pandemic has had a detrimental affect on the mental health of many people, so it is more important than ever to ensure that those who need support can access it.

To help, we have updated our our guide to mental health services in Richmond and a second edition of the booklet is now available to download.

This booklet was originally produced by a group of short and long term service users, who approached Ruils with an idea. They had struggled to negotiate their way through the complex web of mental health services and wanted to create a guide to help others who were in a similar circumstance to themselves. Inspired by an information booklet they had seen, and working with a team at Ruils, they set about on creating a pocket guide to mental health - Bridging the Gap.

The second edition of the booklet is available here

If you would prefer a printed copy, please contact Ruils on 0208 831 6083 or email admin@ruils.co.uk.

Thank you to Mary, Amber, Charlie, Linda, Terry and the volunteers who contributed to this guide.

We have done our best to ensure that the information in the Guide is correct. However, changes to legislation and service provision might affect the accuracy of some of the information. Where this could be important to you, you should check the details with the provider or contact a local advice centre. If you think something in this handbook is incorrect, please contact us and tell us.
